Scene and photo guidance
Each selected performer is replaced by the person in their assigned photo, including their appearance, hairstyle, physique and clothing. The video supplies the performance and instruments. Leave a slot empty to keep that person unchanged across all shots.
Image 1: Lead singer. Navy visor and navy zip-up jacket with a star emblem; opens in side profile and returns in the long central close-up.
Image 2: Keyboard player. Green polo and black headset, seated at the red keyboard in the foreground of the band shots.
Image 3: Left backing singer. Blue shirt, white-and-blue cap and black headset; at the back on the viewer's left in the three-person band shots.
Image 4: Right backing singer. Maroon polo with yellow trim and black headset; at the back on the viewer's right in the three-person band shots.
Image 5: Saxophonist. Gray-haired performer in a dark suit jacket, pale blue shirt and black headphones, playing the gold saxophone near the later solo cut.

A Tiny Desk AI concert with your whole group
A desk concert brings the camera close to the performers: faces, gestures and the exchanges between musicians become part of the scene. A Tiny Desk AI meme uses that intimate band setting for a personalized video.
Choose any of the five performers, or recast the entire band. The scene cuts between a lead singer in a navy visor, a seated keyboard player with two backing singers behind them, and a saxophone solo. Only roles with a photo are replaced. Every unassigned person stays as they are in the source, including when they appear in close-ups.
Prepare individual photos of your friends or coworkers for a group version. Use photos with permission from everyone pictured. You do not need a group photo or matching outfits.

PREPARE YOUR CAST
Get your band photos ready
01
Choose one person per portrait
Use a clear, well-lit photo of each band member. Keep the face visible, with eyes unobstructed and enough detail to recognize the person.
02
Assign only the people you want to replace
Place each photo in its fixed role slot. Leave all other slots empty to keep those original people. For example, choosing only photo slot 5 replaces the saxophonist and keeps the other four performers.
03
Preview the scene before creating
Review the demonstration, supported framing, audio and credit quote in the finished studio. Check every performer in the resulting video; AI identity and movement can vary.
Tiny Desk AI questions
What is Tiny Desk AI?
Tiny Desk AI describes desk-concert videos personalized with AI. This template uses a vertical band scene with five performers: a lead singer, a keyboard player, two backing singers and a saxophonist.
Can I put my whole group in the band?
Yes, you can assign a separate portrait to all five performers, or choose only the people you want to replace. Photo slot 1 is the lead, slot 2 is the keyboard player, slots 3 and 4 are the viewer-left and viewer-right backing singers, and slot 5 is the saxophonist. Empty slots keep their original person. Assignments follow performers across shot changes.
How many photos should I prepare?
Prepare between one and five portraits, depending on which performers you want to replace. Every role is optional, but generation will need at least one selected photo. Leaving slot 1 empty and adding only slot 5 replaces only the saxophonist. A later slot never moves into an empty earlier slot.
What happens if I leave a photo slot empty?
That role keeps the original person throughout the clip, including close-ups. No other photo is reused for that role, and no new face is invented. Removing a photo returns that role to Keep original. Only explicitly assigned roles are replaced.
What audio will the video use?
The supplied scene contains an audio track. The prepared material preserves that track separately so it can be restored after visual generation. The planned result uses the scene audio; uploaded photos do not supply voices.
How long is the video and how much does it cost?
The full picture lasts 19.041667 seconds in vertical 9:16 format. Choose 480p or 720p output. Credits are quoted per started second, so the complete clip uses a 20-second quote without padding the picture to 20 seconds. Review the exact credits in the studio before confirming.
Can I generate a Tiny Desk AI video now?
Choose at least one portrait in its labeled role slot, confirm that you have permission to use the photos, and select Generate video. The studio checks your balance and shows a final confirmation before reserving credits. If your balance is short, you can buy the missing credits and return with your saved photos.
