Choose a photo that separates hands from face
A waist-up or full-body shot works well here. Look for a clear jawline and visible shoulders. A mirror selfie with a phone over the chin gives the model less facial detail precisely where the hands pass during the routine. You do not need to cross your arms in the input.
Read the hand routine in the preview
Play the 10-second vertical preview once while watching only the hands. Notice the chest-level bounces, palms turning outward, wider wave and downward sweep. Put your photo in the Solo dancer slot and choose the resolution. The preview sets the timing for the whole clip.
Check the crossover at normal speed
Watch the wide gestures first, then pause as the hands cross the torso. Check that the wrists remain attached to the correct forearms and the face still looks like the uploaded subject. A duo performance needs a separate two-role template.
